Salary Calculator

The Salary Calculator converts your pay between hourly, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and annual figures, so you can compare job offers or paychecks on an apples-to-apples basis.

How pay conversions work

Salary conversions rely on standard work-year assumptions: 52 weeks per year and 26 bi-weekly pay periods. Annual gross pay from an hourly rate is calculated as:

Annual Pay = Hourly Rate × Hours per Week × 52
Example: $30/hour at 40 hours/week equals $1,200/week, $2,400 bi-weekly, about $5,200/month, and $62,400 per year.

Gross vs. net pay

These figures are gross pay — before taxes, insurance, retirement contributions, or other deductions. For an estimate of federal taxes owed, see our Income Tax Calculator.
